The Blue Butterfly
I just watched a lovely movie, poignant and worth the watch. I'm thinking about using it in a class someday...mulling over the lesson plan ideas. It's called The Blue Butterfly, with William Hurt, Pascale Bussieres and Marc Donato. Based on a true story, it's about a 10-year-old boy with a brain tumor, and his dying wish to see this blue butterfly in the rain forest. I give it the official thumbs up.

Sounds like something to make you cry. I can't watch anything like that-people slowly dying..missing children.....I'll take your word for it though, I'm sure it's lovely.
psst...I'll let you in on a secret...he doesn't die! part of the story, he miraculously recovers from the brain tumor.
