Poinsettias

Hey, does anyone know the deal with poinsettias? DH brought home some lovely ones before Christmas, and now one of them has about had it. I'd heard you could keep them in their dormant state, and they'd come back again...something about a brown paper bag??? I could Google it, I guesss, but...
